ELEKTRA SelfTec® Self-regulating Heating Cables are an antifrost protection system for pipes, gutters, downpipes, valves and other objects which may be damaged by low temperatures. For Plastic pipes you need a layer of aluminium tape between the pipe and the cable as well as over the cable, with metal pipes you just need the aluminium tape over the cable.
